King IPTV on Samsung TV
How to Set Up IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV
Samsung TVs cannot install Android apps, so the trick is choosing the right Tizen player and linking your King IPTV playlist to it.
- Roughly 15 minutes start to finish
- Same steps for trial and paid logins
- Written for non-technical people

Samsung Smart TVs run Tizen, so King IPTV plays through a player from the Samsung Apps store rather than an Android app. Most Tizen players work by MAC address: the TV shows a code, you paste your King IPTV playlist on the player's website from your phone, and the channels appear on the TV. A few accept an Xtream Codes login typed on screen. Allow about 15 minutes. Most players give a free trial, then ask for a small fee that goes to their developer, never to King IPTV.
Have these ready first
- A Samsung Smart TV online, ideally through a network cable
- Your King IPTV M3U link, plus your Xtream Codes details for login-style apps
- A phone or computer with a browser for the playlist upload
- Your Samsung account password, in case the store asks you to sign in
Samsung TV setup with a Tizen IPTV player
Note your model and update the TV
Open Settings > All Settings > Support > About This TV and write down the model code. Then choose Software Update > Update Now in the same Support menu. Every Tizen set can try these players, though models from about 2018 onward cope better with a large channel list.
Open Apps and search
Press Home on the remote and select Apps. On recent Samsung menus, Apps lives inside the Menu on the far left. Select the magnifying glass in the top corner of the Apps screen.
Find a trusted player
Type a player name such as Smart IPTV, IBO Player, SET IPTV or Hot IPTV. Check the developer name and screenshots first, since copycats with near-identical titles exist.
Install, open and photograph the code
Select Install, then Open, and choose Add to Home so the player sits in the bottom bar. The first screen shows a MAC address, six pairs of letters and digits, and sometimes a Device key. Snap a photo of it with your phone so you can copy it without mistakes.
Upload your playlist from your phone
On your phone, open the player's official website and go to its playlist upload page (Smart IPTV calls it My List). Enter the MAC address and key, paste your King IPTV M3U link, and press Send or Save. Some pages also accept the server, username and password instead of a link.
Restart the player on the TV
Hold the Back button until the app closes, then reopen it from the bottom bar. It now downloads your list, which can take a minute, and channel groups line up on the left.
Check channels and the TV guide
Play three channels from different groups; each should begin within a few seconds. Then open the guide view and confirm programme names appear.
Activate before the trial runs out
Players usually show the trial days left. To keep yours, pay its activation on the developer's website with the same MAC address. That money goes to the app maker. King IPTV never sells player licences and cannot refund them.
Which Samsung TV app should you choose?
Smart IPTV and IBO Player are the safest starting points on a Samsung, since both have been around for years. Listings shift by country and model year, so if one is missing, take another: your King IPTV playlist works in all of them.
| Player | How King IPTV is added | Cost (paid to the developer) |
|---|---|---|
| Smart IPTV (SIPTV) | MAC address on the My List page | Free trial, then 5.49 euros once per TV |
| IBO Player | MAC address plus device key on its site | Trial, then yearly or lifetime fee |
| SET IPTV | MAC address on its site | Trial, then one-time fee |
| Hot IPTV | MAC address upload on its site | Trial, then fee |
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Xtream Codes typed on the TV | Often missing from the Canadian store |
Prices change, so confirm the current fee on each developer's site; Smart IPTV lists its own on its activation page. For a wider look, read the best IPTV apps for smart TVs.
MAC address apps vs Xtream login apps
A MAC address app stores your playlist on the developer's server, tied to your TV's network ID, while a login app keeps the details on the TV itself. MAC apps let you edit the list from a phone but depend on that website staying online. Your Samsung also has two MAC addresses, one for Wi-Fi and one for the cable port, so changing connection type can show a new code. Login apps skip the website entirely. If you are unsure which link type to use, M3U vs Xtream Codes explains the difference in plain words.
Fixing common problems on Samsung TVs
- "MAC address not found". Open the player on the TV at least once before uploading, and check for O versus 0 in what you typed.
- List vanishes after a restart. TVs have little app memory. Tick the option that saves the list online, or ask us to switch your line to English Channels Only, a shorter list.
- Player freezes or will not open. Run Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub (PIN 0000). It removes every app and sign-in, as Samsung Canada explains.
- Picture stops and starts. A cable beats Wi-Fi even on the 100 Mbps port many TVs have, since 4K needs about 25 Mbps. Our buffering fixes cover the rest.

Easier option: plug a streaming stick into the Samsung
For an older, slow or fussy Samsung, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Google TV Streamer in a spare HDMI port is the most dependable fix, with TiviMate and a full guide. Turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) under Settings > General > External Device Manager (under Connection on some newer models) so the Samsung remote drives the stick. Follow the Fire TV Stick guide to finish.
Samsung TV IPTV questions
Is IPTV Smarters Pro available for Samsung TVs?
Sometimes. Tizen cannot run the Android version, and the Samsung store listing for Smarters appears in some countries and not others, so it is often absent in Canada. If you cannot find it, Smart IPTV, IBO Player or another player from the table works with the same King IPTV playlist.
Why does a Samsung IPTV app charge me if I already pay King IPTV?
The player and the service come from different companies. King IPTV supplies the channels and your login; the app developer sells the software that plays them, usually after a free trial. You pay the developer once per TV, or yearly for some apps, and never through King IPTV.
Will these apps run on my 2014 Samsung TV?
Probably not. Samsung TVs from 2014 and earlier use an older system called Orsay, and most current players have dropped it. Tizen arrived on Samsung smart TVs in 2015. For an older set, a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device in an HDMI port is the practical answer.
Can I watch King IPTV on two Samsung TVs?
Yes, with a plan that has two screens or more. Each TV has its own MAC address, so you upload the playlist once per TV and, for paid players, activate each set separately. Plans run from one to 5 screens; see the King IPTV prices.
Can I try King IPTV on my Samsung before paying?
Yes. Request the free 24-hour trial, then use the trial playlist inside the player's own free trial. You test the channels and the app together without paying anyone, so you only buy the activation once you know the picture holds up. Get the free trial here; one per household.
