King IPTV on Roku

How to Watch IPTV on Roku: Screen Mirroring and Better Options

Straight answer first: you cannot type a King IPTV login into a Roku. Here is what does work, and which option we would pick for daily viewing.

Roku IPTV setup guide: install King IPTV step by step

Roku has no full IPTV player, such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro, in its Streaming Store, so a King IPTV login cannot go directly into a Roku. Two workarounds remain. You can play King IPTV on an Android phone or a Windows PC and mirror that screen to the Roku: free, and set up in about 10 minutes. Or you can add a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device to another HDMI port for a sharper picture and a proper TV guide. The steps cover mirroring; the sections after them weigh up the second device.

Have these ready first

  • A Roku player or Roku TV that supports screen mirroring
  • An Android phone with Smart View, Screen Cast or a similar mirroring button, or a Windows PC
  • Your King IPTV login entered in a player app on that phone or PC
  • Phone and Roku on the same home Wi-Fi, with a charger nearby

Mirror King IPTV from an Android phone to Roku

  1. Make sure your Roku can mirror

On the Roku, open Settings > System > About to read the model number. Nearly every current Roku player and Roku TV supports screen mirroring. Roku lists two exceptions: the Roku Express 3700 and the Roku Express+ 3710.

  2. Turn on screen mirroring

Go to Settings > System > Screen mirroring > Screen mirroring mode. Pick Prompt to approve each phone, or Always allow to skip the question. Avoid Never allow, which blocks everything.

  3. Join both devices to one network

Connect the phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the Roku. Use the 5 GHz band when your router offers one, and keep the phone in the same room as the TV for a steadier picture.

  4. Set up King IPTV on the phone

Install an IPTV player from Google Play, such as Televizo, and add your King IPTV Xtream Codes login. Play one channel on the phone to confirm it works before you involve the TV. Our Android phone setup guide walks through each screen.

  5. Start mirroring from the phone

Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings. Samsung Galaxy phones call the button Smart View; other brands use names like Screen Cast, Cast or Wireless display. Tap it and choose your Roku by name.

  6. Accept the request on the TV

A box appears on the Roku screen. Choose Always allow so this phone connects without asking next time, or Allow for this session only. The phone's screen now shows on the TV.

  7. Go full screen and keep the phone awake

Turn the phone sideways, open a channel, and tap the full-screen icon. Sound follows the phone's media volume, so raise it there. Plug the phone into a charger, set the screen timeout to 10 minutes or more, and switch on Do Not Disturb so messages do not pop up on the TV.

  8. Stop mirroring when you are done

Tap Smart View (or your phone's equivalent) and choose Disconnect, or press Home on the Roku remote.

Roku options compared: mirroring, AirPlay or a second device

Mirroring is fine for an occasional game, but a second streaming device is the better choice for anyone who watches every day.

Basic playlist apps surface in the Streaming Store now and then, but they usually lack a real guide, may show ads, and Roku has pulled similar apps before; the old private channel codes ended in 2022. Skip paying for one. iPhone owners should read the Apple TV and iPhone guide.

How to mirror from a Windows PC to Roku

Windows 10 and 11 mirror to Roku using the same built-in standard as Android. On Windows 11, press Windows key + K and pick your Roku from the list of wireless displays. On Windows 10, open the Action Center and select Connect. Approve it on the TV, then play King IPTV full screen on the PC. Roku's own screen mirroring help page lists the supported models, and our Windows and Mac guide covers the player apps for computers.

Why a second streaming device is the better long-term fix

A Fire TV Stick or Google TV device gives you the full channel list, a cable-style guide, catch-up and 4K, and your phone stays free. On a Roku TV, each HDMI input appears as a tile on the home screen, so switching to the stick takes one click, and you keep the Roku for your other apps. Choose a Fire TV Stick 4K Max rather than a Vega OS model, as the Fire TV Stick guide explains, or follow the Google TV guide.

Fixing Roku screen mirroring problems

  • Roku missing from the phone's list. Check that both are on the same network, then restart the Roku and the router. Make sure the phone is not on the blocked list under Settings > System > Screen mirroring > Screen mirroring devices.
  • Picture freezes or drops out. Move the phone closer, switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi, close other apps, and turn off battery saver.
  • Channels buffer on the phone too. The problem is the connection, not the Roku. Work through our buffering fixes.
  • Login refused in the phone app. Message King IPTV Live Chat and we check your line.

Roku IPTV questions

Does Roku have its own IPTV player app?

Not a full one. Roku's Streaming Store has no player comparable to TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro, and Roku has removed IPTV-style apps over the years. A few basic playlist apps appear now and then but tend to lack a proper guide. Mirroring from a phone or adding a streaming stick are the dependable choices.

Can I mirror IPTV from an iPhone to a Roku?

Yes, on Roku models that support AirPlay. Make sure AirPlay is on under Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, then open Control Center on the iPhone, tap Screen Mirroring and pick the Roku. Start King IPTV in an iPhone player app and turn the phone sideways for a full-screen picture.

Why can my Google Pixel not mirror to my Roku?

Pixel phones use Google Cast and do not support Miracast, the mirroring standard Roku accepts from Android, and Roku does not accept Google Cast. A Pixel can still cast from apps like YouTube, but not its whole screen. Use a Windows PC or another Android brand, or plug a Google TV device into the TV.

Does screen mirroring lower the picture quality?

Usually, yes. The phone re-encodes its screen and sends it over Wi-Fi, so the picture is softer than the original stream and fast sports can blur or stutter. That is fine for news or a casual game. For 4K, sharp hockey and a full TV guide, a streaming device on another HDMI port is clearly better.

Can I test King IPTV with my Roku before paying?

Yes. Request the free 24-hour trial, load it on your phone, and try mirroring to the Roku during a game you care about. If the result feels too soft, you know a stick is worth it before spending anything. Request the free trial and the login arrives by email.
